Cane River Cottage and Guesthouse

Historic District of Natchitoches Louisiana Hotel

Located about 9 miles from the Cane River Cottage and Guesthouse is the Natchitoches Historic District. Getting there is easy. Leave Cane River to the right and follow Pratt Lane to Old Bermuda Road (PR-640) to LA-494 and turn right. Stay on that until it becomes Keyser and turn right on Jefferson Street in Natchitoches. You’ll be in the Historic District.

The thirty-three block Historic District of Natchitoches, which includes more than fifty centuries-old buildings, has been designated a National Historic Landmark by the U.S. Department of the Interior. The Historic District offers tours of famous homes, cemeteries, antique shopping and much more. Visit the website for the Visitors Bureau linked at the bottom of this page for more information.
